Description

Bepreve (bepotastine besilate) is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction.

Bepreve is available in generic form.

Dosages

The recommended dose for adults and children 12 years of age and older is 1 drop in each affected eye once daily, or as directed by your doctor. Bepreve should not be used for longer than 3 days.

For children 6 to 11 years of age, the recommended dose is 1 drop in each affected eye twice daily (every 12 hours), or as directed by your doctor. Bepreve should not be used for longer than 2 days in children 6 to 11 years of age.

Bepreve should be used with caution in children younger than 6 years of age. Safety and effectiveness have not been established in this age group.
